Warm Greetings to All!

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of Tamil Nadu Ophthalmic Association (TNOA) and Pondicherry Ophthalmologists’ Association (POA), I take great pleasure in welcoming you all to the 72^nd Annual Conference of TNOA, Puducherry Eye Con 2025, sweetly and smartly abbreviated as Cherry Con’25.

POA is happy and proud to host this year’s conference again in Puducherry, one of the seven Union Territories of India. POA has successfully organized three TNOA Conferences and one TNOA Mid-Year Meet in the past. This year, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) is all set to take up this prestigious task, and we are grateful to TNOA for giving us this wonderful opportunity.

For the first time in the history of TNOA, we have decided to go with a new concept: “Silent Conference.” With multiple podia in one big hall, the audience will have the advantage of headphones and remote controls to tune into any podium of their interest, without having to move from one hall to another. Yes! It’s silent, but it will be loud in delivering a big quantity and quality of scientific content!

The Scientific Committee is already working smartly to bring the best

International (IN), National, and Regional speakers for symposia, current updates, and interesting sessions like:

• Breakfast with Experts
• Quizzes & Puzzles
• Ophthalmic Premier League (OPL)
• Ophthalmology in Tamil
• Revivals like Shark Tank, JAM, and the novel “Empty your Bucket” session.

Many other engaging activities are planned, including almost all Instruction Courses with Hands-on Training (Wet or Dry Labs).

Well, give time a break! Iconic Puducherry is serene, scenic, spiritual, and spicy with sea-side resorts! The Puducherry State Animal, the Squirrel Mascot, will extend its cheerful welcome, and the Go-Green eco-friendly arrangements at all venues will add to the charm. Enjoy the Heritage Walk from Rock Beach after a French Zumba warm-up, the Gala Banquet Dinner with world-class entertainment, and, of course, the Ophthalmologists Got Talent (OGT) show to boost the holistic health of our delegates.
